What Happens When I Die by Bill Wiese

I have had an interest in the things that Bill Wiese has written about. Things like near-death experiences, things people say before they die, visions people have as well as out of body experiences going to heaven and to hell. I am not a stranger to being at someone's death bed and have found these times to be both profound and life-changing. I have also had a vision personally of going to hell. My own personal experience was not for telling others to draw them closer to their own personal salvation but was more to show me that we, as Christians, have authority over satan and not vice-versa. I began to read this book following the death of one of my younger sisters who died on 11-14-13. The Lord revealed to me that my sister was going "home" before Thanksgiving of this year when we thought she really had more time. I had heard right. I had the honor to officiate my sister's Celebration of Life service. My first to do. I was humbled and honored. It was a good time for me to have read this book and I hung on every word. This book has many scriptures to back what Bill Wiese shares. There are many well known people who are quoted and many, many testimonies you will want to read. I live in a rural community where I often feel others look at me as being odd for believing in such things as near death experiences, visions and dreams, other ways the Lord speaks...so it felt truly well for me to spend some time with this author reading his book. I felt I was in like minded/spirited company and for this I am truly grateful. I pray you will also get this book for yourself and read it. It is comforting to read. That was my experience. I say thanks to the Lord for inspiring this man of God to write this book and for the experiences he gave him to share with us all. God bless you Bill Wiese!!! Thanks for obeying the Lord in your calling and for writing this book as well as the other...."23 Minutes in Hell." I recommend this book!!! The Power of a Half Hour by Tommy Barnett

I really thought this book would help me to organize my time better and I agree that it could possibly do just that. However, this was not the thing that struck me the most when reading it. What did make an impact on my life were all the testimonies and experiences which the author shares throughout his book. Tommy Barnett is the senior pastor of Phoenix First Assembly of God which is a home base for more then 260 outreach ministries. This tells me that the man has experience and that he has learned how to manage his time well. He also founded the original dream center in Los Angeles which I had heard about from a friend who would minister there. I heard only good things and it always made me want to go there to visit and perhaps to also minister alongside of those ministering there. I loved this book and I think you will find many nuggets of truth packed inside which will help you as well in your walk with our Lord. Many good principles here plus scripturaly sound. I recommend it! God bless you!!! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from Waterbrook Press publishing through the Waterbrook Multnomah book review program. Dream Killers by Jim Raley

This book “Dream Killers” by Jim Raley is yet ANOTHER one of those books that I feel the Lord has placed in my hands in a most timely manner...a book or a word in due season if you will. I was reading this book during the season when the Lord had me step out and in to a place of His authority...that in being the minister who officiated at my own sister's Celebration of Life services. This is a VERY good book for those called to the ministry to read...but I could see how others could benefit as well. For anyone wanting to follow their dreams! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it when writers use the bible as examples because it helps me to “GET IT” and also expounds on the written word for me as well!!!! That is one special gift...the gift of teaching the Word of God and then to write about it!!! The author shared SO many wonderful insights that I have no doubt believing came from our Lord. I could see this book being encrusted with beautiful gems...on each and every page. More like a treasure chest! I read raving reviews about another book Jim Raley has written titled “Hell's Spells' and now want to read that one as well. Pray and see if the Lord would have you get this book for yourself! GOD BLESS YOU!!!!! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from the Charisma House publishers through the www.thebookteria.com book review program. Wounded by God's People by Anne Graham Lotz

I am oftentimes so amazed by how the Lord will land things in your lap that are so ON TIME! This book was one such things. I wanted to read this book because of wounds I had received through church people but I had no idea that I still had wounds from the church I grew up in! These were the deepest and worst hurts and yet I had overlooked them! I was in the middle of this book when I decided to attend a 100th year Centennial at the church of my youth. I felt I was doing it out of honor and respect for my parents who have passed over some time ago. When I got to the church hall and then walked through the class rooms where I went to grade school it all came rushing back to me. The abuse I suffered at the hands of those who were put in place to teach me. It came at me like a flood. While there in the hall and later the classrooms, all around me seemed to be in festive mode. I was not. All I could recall were the times I had been abused by those who I was supposed to look up to and learn from. The worst of it though, was the coming home and telling my parents about what had happened to me that day and nothing being done about it. OUCH! (picture is of me holding a school uniform just like the one I had worn, I could smell maple syrup which caused all these bad memories to come rushing up to me)
Coming home and reading in Anne Graham Lotz book about wounds and forgiveness...I knew then that this book came into my hands at just the perfect time. God's time. It was a book or a word in due season! Bawled my eyes out! I loved everything about Anne's book! The front and back cover, the size of the book, it being a hard back. The contents were the best part! I also learned a whole lot about the Bible as Anne uses bible stories to make her point. It seems to me that she is truly gifted as a bible teacher! Really makes things easier to understand and in such a delightful way! Love that her dad is Billy Graham as I have such respect for him as well. I will not hesitate to read any other book that Anne Graham Lotz has written! Very anointed author...very anointed book!!! I recommend this book wholeheartedly! Thanks Anne!!! What you wrote has helped me immensely which has also helped give me a boost out into what I am called to do! You are hearing the Lord! There is no doubt about it. Thanks Lord!!!! To You we give all the glory, honor and praise!!! \o/ Following reading this book and before writing this book review I found the Lord revealing further hurts in my heart that needed healing. It seems the Lord is now taking me into a deep healing and for this I am most thankful. I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from the Zondervan publishers through the www.booksneeze.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review.

What Your Dreams Are Telling You by Cindy McGill

I have been having dreams since I was a child. Some of these have been nightmares I must admit. As I grew older and began to learn more about the spiritual gifts that God gives I learned that these dreams I was having were gifts from God. Dreams are one of the ways in which God speaks to us. One of His languages. I have had dreams that have come to pass. I am in a current season of being aware of many dreams so you can see why I have an interest in reading this book by Cindy McGill. Cindy's writings are refreshing and not anything that I had heard of before! It has given me greater insight and direction as well as to what I ought to be doing with these dreams. Reading about how Cindy and others formed teams and went places to do dream interpretations caused something to rise up in me and to give me the desire to do the same! I made a discovery as well...that I am guilty of waking up, going to my dream journal, jotting down the dream and then forgetting about it. I learned that one needs the interpretation of the dream in the time frame it is given! Seems to be common sense but I hadn't realized that! Also that we each have our own "dream language" meaning that what one thing means to someone is something entirely different to another! I have had a dream book in the past which described meanings of different things. Many loved it...but I did not. It meant nothing to me. This book is different. It is refreshing. If you are a dreamer you will want to read it. I recommend this book to you! God bless you as you continue to discover what the Lord has placed within you and how to use it!!! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from CHOSEN publishing through the Baker Publishing book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review.

Appointments with Heaven by Dr. Reggie Anderson

If you read only one book this year than make it this one! I am awarding this book as my "NUMBER ONE BOOK OF THE YEAR." I won't take it back after reading other books either. I am not sure what I can even say that will give this book justice...words do not seem to describe it. That is usually how it goes when there is something of the Lord that has been revealed to you...it is hard to explain in words. As I read this book I found myself in tears over and over. I was just that touched by knowing these words, the experiences which the author describes, are from the Lord. I know because I have had my own experiences as well! I now look forward to future times with the Lord. I have had death bed experiences as has the author. I have been shown things as has the author..but in different ways. At the end of this book I wept for some time and could not go to sleep. I was touched deeply in a way that only God can do. Do I recommend this book????? Oh my...read it. You won't be sorry. If this book does not witness to your spirit man and you are skeptical of it being the real deal...then it obviously is NOT for you... It was/is for me and I will refer this book to many in the future. Thanks for writing this book Dr Reggie Anderson!!! I was deeply touched and my life has changed!!! God bless you and your lovely family!!! Hope to read more of what you write if you do write more... I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from Tyndale Momentum publishers through the tyndaleblognetwork.com book review program. Fashioned to Reign by Kris Vallotton

This book is a fantastic book to read if you are a woman wanting to be free from the snares of the enemy concerning your calling. Woman has been pressed down spiritually speaking, for far too long! First of all...the author, Kris Vallotton, has brought forth some astounding revelation concerning Adam and Eve! It bears witness to my spirit man and has opened my eyes. I am thankful for this! It makes perfect sense to me. Perfect sense. This book is biblically sound. This book will empower and release you if you are a woman! I have gained confidence having read this book. Recently I have had a pastor's wife tell me that women are to be quiet and not teach a man. That this is scriptural. This book will explain to you why this is not true. I recommend this book and would give it 10 stars if that were a choice! The Bait Of Satan by John Bevere

Having read some of the other reviews here on Amazon concerning “The Bait Of Satan” by John Bevere I have concluded that...I, myself personally, got a whole lot out of it! Having had but “just a taste” of doing the ministry of Jesus Christ for others, one on one...I am all too well familiar with people having unforgiveness and offenses towards others. I have learned that this keeps people in bondage and in order for them to be delivered...they need to go back to these offenses and forgive the person. For John Bevere to write an entire book on this subject...I say kudos! He has hit the nail on the head when he expresses that offenses is a weapon in the hand of the enemy. (satan) There can be many ways we become offended and many reasons! This book goes into great detail about offenses and how we can be free from them. An in-season word....always! I have seen both John and Lisa Bevere on tv and can tell you they are anointed to do the work of our Lord. I recommend this book! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from the Charisma House book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review.

Fearless by Eric Blehm

Before making the decision to order this book or not I spoke with a Christian man who had already read it. He could say nothing but good things about it and as a matter of fact, he recommended it to me. So I went with it and have not been sorry. This is a true story. This is a book written about a man named, “Adam Brown” who, out of an attempt to steer clear of his addictions, chose instead to fight the challenge to become a Navy Seal. I am truthfully NOT into things about the military but have an interest in those who have overcome their addictions with the help of our Lord and God. This is one such story. I totally recommend this book! TO GOD BE THE GLORY! Victim of Grace by Robin Jones Gunn

The cover of this book is pretty but it really does not do it justice! I guess that is why they say, “You can't judge a book by it's cover.” So true, so true...especially in this case. Now the contents....As I began to read it hit me with a big WOW!!! THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD!!!! I LOVE IT!!!! I mean, I really, really LOVE it! I have always loved hearing people's testimonies as the Lord speaks to me so often through them. Robin Jones Gunn shares LOTS of her own personal testmonies. Robin speaks from her heart. There were so many things written in this book that reminded me so strongly of my own walk with the Lord. The little hints He gives which we feel is our own desires or imaginations until...they come true! I found myself in tears quite often as I read this book. The Lord was showering me with His gift of love as I read. I also LOVED how Robin has such a gift of illuminating bible stories! Such a bible teacher through her writing she is. I kept this book by my side during the time I was reading it. The front cover is a bit bent because of this. Well loved you could say. I am a busy gal but I looked for every second I could to just “read a tad bit more.” Robin...God has SO GIFTED you. I am SO BLESSED to have read this book of yours. The Lord taught me SO MUCH through your words. I also feel IGNITED to keep going and press on. I have the courage now to “stay the course.” Thank you for the gift of this book you have written. Robin, you are so anointed to do this. You are helping all who are reading your books. I plan to read more of what you have written now. Also, I am not one for reading fiction...but I may read yours...and the Lord may be changing my mind about fiction...after all...He is the best story teller there ever was. I am, I am a changed person because of this book! Glory be to our God!!! God bless all reading this! The Lifestyle Of A Prophet by James W Goll

This is the second book I have read written by James W. Goll. The first one I read was “The Seer.” I loved “The Seer” and I love “The Lifestyle Of A Prophet” as well! “The Seer” helped me understand the giftings the Lord had given me and “The Lifestyle Of a Prophet” is helping me to understand how to embrace my calling and to mature in these gifts. I live in a rural area where I do not have communication with others who have these sort of gifts. It helps to read what someone like James W Goll has written as he is a spiritual father in this area. Here is an example of one of the profound things I have taken note of in this book: “The gift of prophecy is like Jesus standing up inside a person, waving His hand and saying, “I have something encouraging I want to bring to you, My people. I have a word of comfort. I have a word of edification. I have a word of learning.” James W Goll's books are biblically based and sound teachings and chock full of his own testimonies he shares. I LOVE reading other's testimonies! He understands me it seems. His writings and others like his help me and make me feel not so much alone in this prophetic calling. God bless you James W Goll! I loved this book of yours and thank you for obeying the Lord in the writing/publishing of it! \o/ I highly recommend this book!!! God's Covenant With You For Your Family by John Eckhardt

When first receiving this book in the mail and holding it in my hands I wondered how such a small paperback could have much in it. I was wrong! I told myself then, “Do not judge a book by it's cover!” This may be a small paperback but it's contents are rich and concentrated. I have heard of John Eckhardt's book, “Prayers That Rout Demons” but to be honest, I haven't as yet read it. After reading this book I am considering the others now. This book speaks mostly about God's covenant as the title suggests. It is not something I have studied before and highly recommend it to you. It will give you, as it has me, greater confidence in your relationship with our Lord. Reading this book reminds me of my own bible study notes in a way. The author breaks things down and writes out descriptions of particular words. This brings a greater understanding. I like how the author has taken the time to write out scripture and make it into personal prayers/declarations. Example of this are: “The word of the Lord is proven in my family. It is a shield to all of us who trust in Him.” (2 Samuel 22:31) “The Lord heals the brokenhearted in my family and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3) Once I got into this book I thought the small size of it was actually good! One could easily keep this in your purse, laptop bag or lunch cooler and take out when you have a few minutes. I really needed this book. I didn't realize how much. I had forgotten about how powerful praying the scriptures and making declarations was! I can see this book as well as the others John Eckhardt wrote as being something any Christian could be benefited by in their walk with our Lord. It has certainly been of help to me. I recommend it highly! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from the Charisma House publishing book review program. Life Without Limits by Nick Vujicic

This book was not what I thought it was going to be. Well part of it was in that...it is written by a man with disabilities who shares his testimonies...that part I was right on about. The rest? Oh my goodness! There is FAR MORE in this book then what I hoped and dreamed. You see I started to read this book and was into the 3rd chapter when I KNEW I had to go back and start doing some underlining and highlighting so as not to lose the tidbits of wisdom which are literally EVERYWHERE on the pages of this book. I can tell you that the author, Nick Vujicic, was anointed to write this book and I believe many more to come. It was as if it was written just for me! I am not sure how the author does it, but he makes it seem as if he knows you, knows your struggles and challenges and then he hands out this seasoned advice. Yet, he's not that old! I kept asking myself, “How can this be? How can he know this much already?” Because the Lord has given it to him is why! There are pictures in the middle of the book of Nick when he was younger. These are quite endearing to me being a mother and grandmother myself. I feel I need to address the author: Nick, I feel as though I know you. You have helped me with all you shared. You can't possibly know what I am facing with my calling in the Lord Jesus Christ...but yet you have given me such sound and seasoned advice that I KNOW comes from the Lord. I feel as though I've had time with you. Reading what you have written has helped me to see that I must not be sitting around “waiting” for what I know I am called to do to just appear but that I must take some steps towards it. That I must not waste my time with frivolous things but only do what is in alignment with where I am going. You write in such a way that it is easy to digest. Not all that intellectual mumbo jumbo that some are in the habit of doing but yet it is evident that you are quite intelligent and knowledgable. Thank you so much! Here's a hug for you...(((((((NICK))))))) God bless you and keep it up!!!! I know there are challenges yet that lie ahead for you but you can rise to those challenges in Christ Jesus! I am glad I read your book and will suggest it to others as well. In the love of Christ!!!! Jean Do I need to say that I wholly recommend this book? IF so....I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from Doubleday publishers through the www.bloggingforbooks.org book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review.

You First, Me Second by Pam Erickson

I loved reading this book! Before ordering this book, there were things happening in my life which brought to my attention that I was pretty selfish. This has been a troubling discovery for me. So when I saw this book's title I knew it was the one for me. The author shares lots of testimonies about how others have gone out of their way to help others in need. The author gives many ideas about how one can use their own gifts and talents to help others and it still be an enjoyable experience. The author gives many ideas about ways in which one can encourage or help another whether it be a small or a big thing. This has really got me thinking...which I need to be doing. The writing is easy to digest and the chapters not too long that you can't read one before going to sleep. “You have more to offer the world than you realize.” There are 16 chapters in this book and each one holds several nuggets from which one can glean from. I am inspired by this book. It has got me thinking that perhaps...I can really be able to do the things I believe the Lord is calling me to do. Perhaps. I know one thing...reading this book has made a distinct difference in my life. It seems my eyes have been opened to allow the Lord to bring before me needs of others and ways to fill those needs. I am seeing opened doors for ministry. They may be small things...but to me these are huge and I am thankful for the author having written this book and for the opportunity to have read it. Thank you Pam Erickson...thank you. You are making a difference in this world and it all matters!!! God bless you!!! A Lasting Legacy by Doug Hagedorn

This book is a solid paperback. More like a manual you can refer back to time and time again. It has got me re-thinking how I have been living my life and caused me to make some changes. Changes I am making now are goal setting in many areas of my life. For instance...my husband and I have been having a real hard time getting the get up and go to get our very old house scraped and painted. We know we want to do the work ourselves are are quite able to...that is not the issue. We have procrastinated for years. Now we are setting short and long term goals and for some reason...it has got us over the procrastination hump! I am a grandparent now and not rearing any of my own children at this present time but think this book would really be a good one to have if you were still raising kids at home. Lots of material to ponder and meditate upon. Not a quick read. Quite the opposite. A meaty book which is packed full of testimonies and teachings to learn from. I fully recommend this book to you! I received this book for free from the Future Foundation Builders through the www.bookcrash.com book review program in exchange for a free book review. A Dream So Big by Steve Peifer

I love the fact that this is a hardcover copy. I love the size of this book and I even love the front and back cover which clearly shows what this book is all about. For some reason I am drawn towards things written about Africa and Africa’s orphan children. Reading this book helped satisfy my need to know more on the subject and from an American’s view point. It has got me wondering whether or not that someone like myself could possibly go to such a faraway place if the Lord were to send me? Could I survive? I have spent literally hours and hours saturated and immersed in the pages of this book. I did not want it to end it was such a good and well written book! I have also spent much time thinking following reading this book…about the poverty and lifestyle of those in Africa and comparing it to the lifestyles of those of us living in the states. Not a pretty picture! Reading this book has changed me…has changed my mindsets. Reading it has caused me to look at my own life and life’s priorities. Is the Lord calling you or I to Africa? Or to some other missionary adventure/ Only time will tell. Meanwhile…I have this incredible desire to know more. To talk to others who have “been there” and “done that.” Or even to talk to others who are even thinking about it as I am. God may just be preparing us. Do it. Read this book. See what happens to your own life and life’s views after reading it. I totally recommend it. Willing To Walk On Water by Caroline Barnett

I love everything about this book including the vibrant and beautiful colors and picture on the cover! I even love the “feel” of this book. For me, receiving and then reading this book was timely. It is an “on time” word for me in this current, anointed of God, season. This is a season for me where I need to be “Willing To Walk On Water” just as the title suggests. I am stepping out in obediance to our Lord in areas of ministry where I have not gone before. I cannot begin to tell you how greatly the author, Caroline Barnett, encouraged me through the words she wrote under the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I really connected with this book. One of the reasons being, I have already heard about the Dream Center in California which the author speaks about quite frequently. I used to know a woman who told me she was a minister there and she spoke quite highly of it. Having this book in my hands is Divine...so it would seem. I will be adding this book along with others towards a collection which will become books for a future church library that I believe is in my future. I recommend this book strongly for those in all walks of Christianity but especially to those who know they have a calling in Christ Jesus and are about to step out on the waters with Him. You will be empowered, brought up and out...catapulted from those recliners of comfort zones and launched out into your destinies...this is what has happened to me anyway!!! "A Time For Every Purpose Under Heaven" A Missions Memoir written by Chris Loehmer Kincaid

The reason I chose to read this book is because it is a “Missions Memoir” and I have an interest in missions work as well as in Africa itself. The title also attracted me....”A time for every purpose under heaven” which is one of my life's bible verses. I also like the front cover as it has a picture taken in Africa and gives one a glimpse of what it must be like to be there! I feel Holy Spirit drew me to this book and so no surprise that it not only held my interest but was one of those “I just can't seem to put it down” sort of books. This is a true story about a woman who ends up being led by God to go on a missions trip. It speaks of the details of her trip including how they washed and used the bathroom. It speaks of the ways of the people and the beauty at times in the scenery. I liked that the author shared things which “took you there” to Africa and being in her shoes. I've often imagined what it must be like to go to a place like Africa and now I feel as if I've been able to take a little peek into what it is like to do so. I have enjoyed reading this book and it has kept me wanting to know more...to read more... each night before going to bed. This is the first book I have ever read on missions work/ministry and I intend now to find and read more on this subject. I highly recommend it to you! I received this book for free from Life Sentence Publishing, LLC through the www.bookcrash.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review. Freely I have received and so freely I give.

Unglued Devotional by Lysa TerKeurst

I would like to say that I have completely read this entire devotional before posting my review. Alas, I have not. Reason being...a devotional needs to be read daily and time given to ponder and meditate upon that day's reading. Due to limited time during my days I like to spend the last minutes I have reading while I am in bed. What a luxury this is! Reading this devotional has been such a comforting read for me to go to sleep on. The things I have read so far...have made me feel good...made me feel better about myself and my limits as a human being. Has made me feel good in my spirit while still being in this body and yet on this earth. I feel we all need to read things like this devotional to lift ourselves up in the Lord. Last night's reading taught me not to feel guilty about my shortcomings or what I do not have but instead to celebrate what I do have!!! Indeed, the Lord has given us all different gifts and talents. None of us are the same. What I did not like about this devotional. I did not like that it was a paperback as feel devotionals ought to be hardcover. Why? Because you tend to keep devotionals around a whole lot longer as you can always start over and read it all again, and again and again. The paperback look and feel just did not do this devotional justice. I also did not like the word “unglued” for some strange reason. To the point of irritation. May just be me. All in all this is an exceptionally good devotional and one I recommend. Lord bless you...all His readers! I received this book for free in exchange for a book review from Zondervan publishing through the www.booksneeze.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review. Proof of Heaven by Eben Alexander, M.D

This is a book about a man who experienced an NDE (Near Death Experience). Now I do realize that many people do not believe in such things, and even feel NDE's are not of God. I am of the belief that they are real and that they do happen. First I had been told by an 80 year old elderly woman of her deceased husband's previous NDE. He had hovered over his own dead body and turned and saw a bright light. He was then told that there was much left for him to do and that he must return. Indeed he did have much to do for he was a farmer who had never given his wife knowledge of any of the books. When he returned he taught her all about everything she needed to know and following this he died. Last fall now...I had a good friend experience a NDE following a heart attack. THEN...one day when I was at the bank...I was compelled to tell a man, “Jesus loves you.” I did just that but then was compelled once again to go back to him and say, “I just want you to know that I am not in the habit of telling just anyone that Jesus loves them.” He got all excited and told me to go outside to his vehicle and to tell his wife this. That he had just gotten her out of the hospital from having a heart attack. Well I went outside and did share this with her. She got all excited and told me that she'd just had a NDE where she even got to see her deceased son!!! So yes. I guess you would say that the Lord has gotten my attention and given me faith to believe in NDEs. I was drawn to this book I believe by the Holy Spirit. A man had requested that the director of the library where I work purchase it. When it landed in my hands I felt it was a “must read” for me. This man, Eben Alexander, M.D is “A highly trained neurosurgeon who had operated on thousands of brains in the course of his career....” So you could say his view of NDE's was quite scientific and he did not believe there was such a thing. Read this book to witness his take on things NOW after having a NDE personally. I highly recommend this book to you. May the Lord bless you!!! P.S. You will find that when you bring up the topic of near death experiences that the greater percentage of people you talk to will give you a look that says you are "nuts" or "out there." You will need to go to the Lord for yourself to see what His take is on this. I have found that those sharing such experiences have wonderful and delightful things to bring back to all of us to share about the Lord.(As in this book written by Eben Alexander) Seems a lot of it is on His Love for us. I have decided to...as I have in the past with many other things others don't like or agree with...hold these in my heart and in the secret place of the Most High God...~

Draw The Circle by Mark Batterson

This being my second time of reading a book by Mark Batterson I can say that I would recommend any of his writings. This particular book has been one that you must read chapter by chapter. Meaning, only one chapter at one sitting. There is much to ponder and meditate upon. I have no doubt that the author has written using revelations the Holy Spirit has illuminated upon him. I don't feel as though I am reading what man has written...but reading what Holy Spirit has said. I do feel it would have been better to have already read “The Circle Maker” as the author refers back to this previous book quite frequently. (I have not read that one as yet) There are many testimonies shared here. Consider reading this or any of Mark Batterson's writings if you want to grow spiritually. Lord bless you in your walk with Him! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from the publisher, Zondervan, through the www.booksneeze.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review. Freely I have been given and freely I give.

My Journey Beyond Being Catholic by Connie Limmex

I am often intrigued by testimonies of those who were Catholic and who were led by God to leave the Catholic faith. Reason being, I was raised as a Catholic and even had an uncle who was a priest and yet the Lord also led me out of the Catholic faith. This is not a story AGAINST being Catholic...it is a story of having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and being led by His Spirit. The author states that one can have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and still be involved in many religions as the Spirit leads. (my words) This is my belief also. As I began to read I found myself in yet another one of those “I cannot put this book down!” type of writings. I could so relate to Connie Limmex as much that she shared is so similar to how the Lord has worked in my own life. There is so much the Lord wants to say through this author's words. One of the things the Lord has spoken to me is that I ought to begin to write my own book. This is not the first time this message has come across on this subject and I am waiting on the Lord for His guidance and direction. There is also a strong salvation message to the unsaved and I hope and pray that many will come to a saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ through this author's words. I really didn't like the front cover of this book at first sight. If you look at it quickly it looks like the title says, “My Journey Being Catholic.” When in reality it says, “My Journey Beyond Being Catholic.” As I looked more at it and took more time I found I liked it a whole lot. It's not really a very big book. Only 116 pages in all. But ya know...sometimes you want a shorter book that is easy to read...both of which this book is. Lighter reading so to speak and yet the Lord speaks measures through the pages. I am thinking now of all who I would like to lend this book out to. For one, is one of my younger sisters. This book reminds me that we still ought to be witnessing to the unsaved and sharing our testimonies with them as to how the Lord has changed our own lives from “black to white.” I totally recommend this book. Stumbling On Open Ground by Ken Mansfield

Let me start out by saying that by reading the words that this author, Ken Mansfield, wrote...that the Lord has increased my faith to believe for my future...for whatever may come my way. I cannot go on with this review without first sharing of how I have had such a fear of cancer. This is due to my father, grandfather, aunt and uncle all dying of it and also due to one of my younger sisters now currently battling it. My older sister is in the clear of cancer for the time being but there is not a day that goes by that she does not fear it's return. I am “sandwiched” in between the two sisters who are in this battle. This is not just a book on dealing with cancer but yes it is a book on dealing with cancer. This is a book on walking in the valley of the shadow of death and fearing no evil. A powerfully written testimony of how, despite tremendous pain and suffering, a person can still hold on tightly and rely on the Lord for His strength. Ken Mansfield may be a man who is in a battle with cancer but to me this is not his identity. His identity is as a child of God, as a man of God...as a truly gifted writer and I am not sure what all else. I loved that Ken Mansfield has worked directly with the Beatles as I grew up watching them on tv and listening to their music. I also loved how Ken relates so strongly to music and shares how the Lord speaks to him in this manner for it is also a way that the Lord speaks to me. At some points when things on this order were shared it brought tears to my eyes...from the depth of my spirit. I loved how Ken's wife, Connie, also shared little tidbits along the way as to her end of things. I have to say...this really made it for me, being a wife myself. So much love between Ken Mansfield and his wife Connie. So much love between Ken Mansfield and his Lord. I so loved reading this book that I had it read in three days. I would have had it finished before this if time had allowed for it. Know that I am not a person who normally read this much and this fast so that ought to tell you a little bit about this book. This book is one of those that you don't want to put down!!! I am so thankful to the Lord for the testimony shared here by Ken Mansfield and for gifting him the way he has. It all matters Ken....it all matters!!! This comes to me now...words from a song I know.... “If I perish...I perish...for I am going...to see my King...” God be with you readers!!! I highly recommend this one!!! That's an understatement!!! I received this book for free from the publishers in exchange for a book review through the www.booksneeze.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review. Freely I have been given and so freely I give.

When Kingdoms Clash by Cindy Trimm

I am always interested and drawn to things written from the Kingdom of God perspective. About ways that we, as believers, do not belong to this world but to the Kingdom of God. I am drawn to this first and foremost by the Holy Spirit. It helps me, helps us all, to see things in this light. This book has seemed to “strike a match” in my spirit...so to speak...for through the reading of it the Lord has rekindled my faith as well as my prayer life. I feel as though I've been “re-ignited” which is just what I've been searching for in my heart and for what I've been seeking and praying to the Lord for. Not a book to be taken lightly as in a light read. Not to be read in a public place if you are like me...one who cries when the Lord has spoken to me. You can only read this book in little increments or at least you SHOULD only read it this way as you will want to meditate upon what it was you read to get the most out of it. I was touched by the Holy Spirit at every turn of this book and needed to step away from the reading in order to give my full attention to what all the Holy Spirit was wanting to say and do. Did I say that Holy Spirit ministered to me through this book? Through this author? A few points taken from this book which I share to give you a “taste” of the “flavor” of this book are and I quote: “Chances are, whatever touches your heart in what you see day to day also touches the heart of God.” “It's time for us to find our footing and start pushing back for the things Jesus came to this earth to deliver.” “If we never realize the authority God has given us, the enemy has no reason to relinquish his.” There are many other meaty truths which I believe will pack a powerful punch in the face of the enemy and give glory to God! Thinking now...I may just highlight these points and keep this book around awhile...continue to meditate and apply what it is I learn. Do I need to say that I recommend this book? I do, I truly do. I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for a book review through the Charisma book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review. Freely I have received and so freely I give.

I Still Believe by Jeremy Camp

Previously before ordering and then reading this book I have already listened to and loved Jeremy Camp's music. I really looked forward then to hearing Jeremy's story. I had other new books to read which were on a stack in the order I intended to read them in as I am a reviewers. However, once Jeremy's book arrived in the mail and I had it in my hands and saw the front cover I laid aside all other books and started right in with this book, “I Still Believe.” I was not let down. This book is written in a way which makes you feel you've been talking with Jeremy himself. I love that this is an autobiography and is factual...not a made up sort of thing. This book and it's writings are real...the real deal. I've no doubt the Lord anointed and appointed Jeremy to write this book and share his testimonies. Revelation 12:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Having said that...this is a story about a Christian man who went through deep pain in his life all the while following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Such deep pain that I am just sure Jeremy never thought it would ever lighten. Yet the Lord, in His grace and mercy brought restoration to Jeremy's life and in turn healing. I highly recommend this book. Not just for those who are suffering in any way with cancer but yet yes for those who are suffering in any way due to cancer but for all people in all walks of life. There is much to be learned...many lessons of the Lord written here and shared. There are already two people waiting to borrow this book from me when I have finished it. I will come back here at a later point after I've listened to Jeremy's cd and review that as well. Lord bless you!!! I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for a book review through the Tyndale book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review. Micah by Micah's Mom ~Dani Ramsey~

This is a book written by a mother about her son who ended up with cancer. The family are strong Christians and the way Micah lived his life, including during his battle with cancer, revealed this to the core. Micah stated that he wasn't afraid but that his parents were freaking out. As a mother and grandmother I can sympathize with this. God gave Micah the strength to endure. Micah was such a witness for God. I had a hard time reading this book but at the same time had a hard time putting it down. It is the saddest book I have ever read. Dani Ramsey wrote it from her heart and with much pain. Every time I put the book down for the evening, I felt the pain. I wept. I felt that in my weeping I helped carry the burden of the pain the author bore. Romans 12:15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Though there were misspellings in the book it did not take away from the message. To God be the glory, both now and forever. This book was written in such a way...that I was put in a state of grieving myself. I know the Lord has and is comforting the family and that they will all be re-united with Micah one day. I received this book for free from the publisher through the www.bookcrash.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review.

Lord, I Give You This Day, a Devotional by Kay Arthur

This is the type of book I love to hold in my hands. It is of smaller size, a hardcover, pleasing colors to the eye, plus has a ribbon book mark to hold your place. I at times find myself lacking time to be in the Word of God...devotionals such as this one helps me get through such times. Giving me bits and pieces of the Word to hold me off until I can get my Bible out. Kay Arthur is known as one of America's best-known Bible teachers. Along with her husband, Jack, she is the co-CEO and cofounder of Precept Ministries International. She has authored more than 120 books and inductive studies. This devotional has been adapted from one of her best-selling Lord series titled As Silver Refined. I received this book for free from the publisher through the Waterbrook Multnomah book review program in exchange for a book review. I was not required to write a favorable review.

Dreams and Visions by Tom Doyle

This is an excellent book written about how God has given dreams and visions to different muslim people to not only bring them to the point of salvation, but also to use these dreams to connect them with others who have had the same or similar dreams. I thought...what a perfect plan God has! Only Muslims are allowed in certain parts of the country...others may be, and have been killed for entering in to these places. Only God could speak to Muslims using dreams and visions...and then use them for His purposes! I can't even begin to tell you everything...it's a book you “must read.” I already have a friend who is waiting for me to hand this book over for her to read. Makes me think...if missionaries are unable to enter into certain parts of the country...no worries...for God has a plan. What doors God has opened can no man shut! Rules of Engagement by Derek Prince

This is a book written by an author, Derek Prince, who has since passed on. (1913-2003). He is the founder of Derek Prince Ministries International and has written more then sixty books. The author's intentions for his writings was for them to continue on...teaching others, even though he has left this earth. As a legacy, if you will. I, for one, have been taught by this man's legacy. This is not a book you can just quickly read through and be done with. This book has meaty material that must be slowed chewed and digested. I found myself only able to read a few paragraphs before closing the book. I was left to ponder and meditate upon what it was I had just read. At every turn I found myself being directed back to the Word. Once again...convicted that I need to spend more time with my nose there...in the Word of God...then in any other reading material. The author teaches about so many subjects. I have my favorite subjects upon which he has touched on to my delight and which I read with great zest. (one of them on the gifts of the Holy Spirit) I am inspired having just finished reading this at the end of a year and beginning of yet another. This is always such a good time to ponder and reflect on the past year and the changes you'd like yourself and God to make in you. I recommend this book. Actually...I have loved reading any and all the books I have received through “Chosen ”. So much so that I look for them now. I recommend this publishing company which is a division of Baker Publishing Group. I received this book for free from Chosen in exchange for a book review. I was not required to write a favorable review. Freely I have been given and so freely I give.
