Sharing Christ With The Dying by Melody Rossi
I am not a stranger of being alongside of someone I love while they lay in their death bed. I can tell you that if I'd of had this book in my hand it during those times that it would have made everything so much easier. Not only is there information about what signs to look for when your loved one is dying but there are also practical things mentioned which will be needed to know during such times as these.
This book is going to be kept in my own personal library to be taken back off of the shelves in times of need. I also plan to loan it out to others who may be in this particular season.
It would be best read when you are in a season of a loved one getting ready to pass on.
I highly recommend it.

The Judas Goat by Perry Stone
This is my first time reading any of Perry Stone's material and I must say that I quite impressed! Perry Stone seems to have a gift for Bible teaching and sharing it in a way that is easy to digest!
This particular book is about "How to deal with false friendships, betrayals, and the temptation not to forgive."
When you first begin to read the introduction of this book you will be referred to Chapter 4 "Who is Sitting in Your Third Chair." Reading this chapter helped me to understand what Perry was referring to when he mentioned first, second or third chair persons. He shares that people in our lives will fit on one of three places and how to be careful not to allow people in where they do not belong. He gives a perfect example through an experience his wife went through to help you understand better.
Perry shares testimonies his father experienced in the ministry regarding "Judas Goats" within his congregations.
On the back cover Perry writes, "A Judas goat is an actual goat that is raised with the sheep in the field--eating with them, sleeping with them, and generally gaining their trust. When the time comes to lead the sheep into the slaughterhouse, the sheep will follow the Judas goat into specially marked pens, the back of trucks, and in some instances into the slaughterhouse itself. The Judas Goat makes a strong correlation between this goal and the people in your life who are operating with ulterior motives, helping you understand."
This book gave me a warning or a heads up to the possibility of this happening for future ministry but also gave me an understanding of what has already taken place in what I thought was a true friendship from my past. I was also convicted personally.
This book was written with excellence and true anointing of our Lord!
I recommend this book to you! Especially for those in the ministry.

The Power of a Half Hour by Tommy Barnett
I really thought this book would help me to organize my time better and I agree that it could possibly do just that. However, this was not the thing that struck me the most when reading it. What did make an impact on my life were all the testimonies and experiences which the author shares throughout his book. Tommy Barnett is the senior pastor of Phoenix First Assembly of God which is a home base for more then 260 outreach ministries. This tells me that the man has experience and that he has learned how to manage his time well. He also founded the original dream center in Los Angeles which I had heard about from a friend who would minister there. I heard only good things and it always made me want to go there to visit and perhaps to also minister alongside of those ministering there. I loved this book and I think you will find many nuggets of truth packed inside which will help you as well in your walk with our Lord. Many good principles here plus scripturaly sound.
I recommend it! God bless you!!!

Stumbling On Open Ground by Ken Mansfield
Let me start out by saying that by reading the words that this author, Ken Mansfield, wrote...that the Lord has increased my faith to believe for my future...for whatever may come my way.
I cannot go on with this review without first sharing of how I have had such a fear of cancer. This is due to my father, grandfather, aunt and uncle all dying of it and also due to one of my younger sisters now currently battling it. My older sister is in the clear of cancer for the time being but there is not a day that goes by that she does not fear it's return. I am “sandwiched” in between the two sisters who are in this battle.
This is not just a book on dealing with cancer but yes it is a book on dealing with cancer. This is a book on walking in the valley of the shadow of death and fearing no evil. A powerfully written testimony of how, despite tremendous pain and suffering, a person can still hold on tightly and rely on the Lord for His strength.
Ken Mansfield may be a man who is in a battle with cancer but to me this is not his identity. His identity is as a child of God, as a man of God...as a truly gifted writer and I am not sure what all else.
I loved that Ken Mansfield has worked directly with the Beatles as I grew up watching them on tv and listening to their music.
I also loved how Ken relates so strongly to music and shares how the Lord speaks to him in this manner for it is also a way that the Lord speaks to me. At some points when things on this order were shared it brought tears to my eyes...from the depth of my spirit.
I loved how Ken's wife, Connie, also shared little tidbits along the way as to her end of things. I have to say...this really made it for me, being a wife myself.
So much love between Ken Mansfield and his wife Connie. So much love between Ken Mansfield and his Lord.
I so loved reading this book that I had it read in three days. I would have had it finished before this if time had allowed for it. Know that I am not a person who normally read this much and this fast so that ought to tell you a little bit about this book.
This book is one of those that you don't want to put down!!!
I am so thankful to the Lord for the testimony shared here by Ken Mansfield and for gifting him the way he has.
It all matters Ken....it all matters!!!
This comes to me now...words from a song I know....
“If I perish...I perish...for I am going...to see my King...”
God be with you readers!!!
I highly recommend this one!!! That's an understatement!!!
