When Will The Heaven Begin? by Ally Breedlove

I came across this book while straightening shelves in the library where I work. It grabbed a hold of my attention and went home with me that night. Once I got started reading this book I could not put it down! The words written and the story told in this book spoke to me so clearly and so personally it was as if the Lord Himself had tossed this book onto my lap and said, "Here, read this!" It is quite the story. A story of a young man who fought the good fight of faith and won victoriously! A story of a young man who had a special assignment for his life which was fulfilled. Really...it's a whole lot more then that. The author is an excellent writer...and easy to read. I was quite shocked for such a young person to be such a good writer and I've no doubt that there will come further titles flowing from her pen. I can't help but think that part of the reason for Ben's life and death and all of the in between was to launch Alley out into writing. God works like that! I loved reading everything in this book. I feel close to the family and close to Ben and know that one day in heaven we will all meet. This book is for everyone! Reading it has changed my life and caused me to re-think my priorities. I will never be the same again. I wholly recommend you read this one as well and also do know that Ben Breedlove has his story on youtube so you may want to give that a look as well. Lord bless!!!

You First, Me Second by Pam Erickson

I loved reading this book! Before ordering this book, there were things happening in my life which brought to my attention that I was pretty selfish. This has been a troubling discovery for me. So when I saw this book's title I knew it was the one for me. The author shares lots of testimonies about how others have gone out of their way to help others in need. The author gives many ideas about how one can use their own gifts and talents to help others and it still be an enjoyable experience. The author gives many ideas about ways in which one can encourage or help another whether it be a small or a big thing. This has really got me thinking...which I need to be doing. The writing is easy to digest and the chapters not too long that you can't read one before going to sleep. “You have more to offer the world than you realize.” There are 16 chapters in this book and each one holds several nuggets from which one can glean from. I am inspired by this book. It has got me thinking that perhaps...I can really be able to do the things I believe the Lord is calling me to do. Perhaps. I know one thing...reading this book has made a distinct difference in my life. It seems my eyes have been opened to allow the Lord to bring before me needs of others and ways to fill those needs. I am seeing opened doors for ministry. They may be small things...but to me these are huge and I am thankful for the author having written this book and for the opportunity to have read it. Thank you Pam Erickson...thank you. You are making a difference in this world and it all matters!!! God bless you!!! I received this book for free in exchange for a free book review from Front Line Publishing through the www.thebookteria.com book review program. I was not required to write a favorable review.

Better To Be Broken by Rick Huntress

This is a small, compact sort of book that is easy to read and hard to put down. One of my favorite types. A definite for the bedside to read before retiring. This autobiography, “Better To Be Broken” written by Rick Huntress was written so well. The author shares his testimonies throughout the book of his experiences following an accident which left him wheel chair bound. I believe he has made deep hearted times light and that this man has a ministry working with others who are also wheel chair bound. Indeed, this man's writing is quite inspirational, encouraging, is sound biblically, and causes one to want to reach out for one's own calling in Christ Jesus! Good for those who have had similar experiences and needing the encouragement but also good for those who, like myself, are needing encouragement through our own life’s challenges. I highly recommend this book to all! I received this book for free from the BookCrash book review program in exchange for a book review. I was not required to write a favorable review. Freely I have been given and freely I give.
